Welcome Back to PinkerInk. Sit back, grab a cup or glass of your favorite beverage, hot or cold. Get your reading glasses if you need them and put on some music (the kind that urges you to study).

PinkerInk was created for you and for me. You don't have to be a card-carrying member of a clique to read and/or comment on this site, and you don't have to feel like an "outsider" just because everyone here seems to know in each other in one way or another.

Originally, as many know, the site was dedicated to more of a female readership with pop culture, political and lifestyle rant(s)/posts, but times have evolved and it's time to get focused again. What's happening now is that I've finally come to the conclusion that my students need more. Need more time, need more space, and need more of my attention to course matters. In keeping up with technology, this is the best solution I've found thus far.

It seems Profo's class requires students to have a space, some space, new spaces to think, be creative, be free as they continue their work as agents of social change. A space that is outside was being craved. We needed a space outside the classroom to continue our dialogue, think without the pressure of a clock ticking time starting and ending, to generate ideas, products, results and a new way of generating...everything.

So I had to answer my own call on how to make this better (hopefully) and as the original PinkerInk theme still holds strong in being reactive and responsive, the dialogue will ultimately transform into something more of an ongoing academic discourse/intellectual exchange about the real things we do as a collective and/or class. Within the site, you will be able to talk about projects, works in progress, reading analyses, updates on your research, critique from other students, helpful tidbits, exchange in dialogue with your classmates as well as myself, and you'll more than likely get a better response from me on your work without having to wait on extremely long office hour lines or attempting to follow me to the bathroom or home (definitely not advisable).

While the site is dedicated to the social change type of work from my past and current students, I know for sure that I still want to hear from practioners in the field, and those who share to give some wisdom or ideas/feedback. Just keep those intellectual critiques coming (I love them, I promise). Even if you just want to tell my students how great they are, and that their work means something in this world (besides how much I promote this on my own), drop me a line!

In addition, I love to do mailings. If you're interested in receiving news and/or updates about the work we're engaging in, provide me with some mailing info so I can keep you in the loop.

Remember, even when you're sleeping, we're thinking and changing the world.

Until we chat again,

ps: To all my loyal readers in the past, I want to see more of you, and hope that the change coming in 2009 will entince you to support us and the work we do.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
