Gender Watch Journal No. 9: Lolita in Tehran

What an excellent class we had yesterday! wow! What did you think about the experiment? Did you feel "weird" without having access to your phones/devices and your bag(s)? How about being seated by gender? What do you think about their "underground" learning? Is it better than our system and/or classroom structure? I want to know who your favorite character is - and what do you think about Nafisi's writing?

ps: I'm organizing our Banned Books Club - are you SURE you can commit?

Hey Good People,

Happy Spring Break! Some may be away, some may be right where you were the day before Spring Break hit. Either way, take some time to catch up, get re-focused, and study hard for the final bout of the semester. I know many of you are exhausted, but remember, this all pays off in the end. Just keep pushing with whatever you have left, and find the motivation and strength you had from day one. If all fails, buy a coffee drink.

Gender Watch Journals: The Assignment

So...I realize you all are serious workaholics, just like me. This is a good thing. I didn't mention it in class this morning, because I wanted you to focus your weight on the overview of the Final Project Submission due on the 25th. Teams worked today, after I went over in detail (what is expected for 2nd submission) - If you were absent, you need to check in with your team ASAP.

However, if you take a look at your calendar of sessions, you'll also notice on April 29th a "Gender Watch Journals-Complete" is required for submission.
