In a celebration of their 15th anniversary, Latin jazz ensemble Los Mas Valientes plays a program of original and traditional Cuban works, including composer Rick Faulkner's new 4-movement work, "Hope Suite." Founded in 1995, this 8-piece ensemble has been performing infectious and innovative original music exploring the rhythms and traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean, infused with their own unique brand of improvisation.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Performance at 8 p.m.
All proceeds will go towards the completion and release of their long-awaited live 4th album.

Textbooks will be available at Bluestockings until April 10th, 2010--after that they will begin disappearing, so come get 'em now. We can hold textbooks for 10 days with a non-refundable cash deposit of $10.00 (which can be used towards the balance of the sale at the time of purchase). And don't forget you still get a 10% student discount off any non-textbooks in the store through March 31st!

We're open from 11am-11pm every day of the week and have events almost every night of the week at 7pm. We've got a delicious fair-trade cafe full of vegan treats and a comfy couch to cram for your finals on.
