Final Project Overview 3024

Here are some tidbits that will help you organize yourselves to successfully complete the work required for your 3024 projects:

1. Assign someone to work on the history of the place (that you have chosen): Including it's educational history, and it's history with regards to the plight of women. The Nepal team did a nice, brief intro job (for more information), but think jazzy history paper that really confirms what the place is like, and what the condition of school/education/feminism is like. Sure you can present this in your a/v segment of the presentation, but I'll need to read of this in your final reports as well. For your second submission, it might be a good idea to have this ready for review.

2.Statistics: Yes you need them. You can actually just include this in your intro/history section. Make sure they are relative, and make sure that they are ready for interpretation in your a/v presentation as well. Don't include stats that no one can relate to, or make sense of.

3.What the problem is: This needs a DETAILED description. Girls don't learn as much as boys is not enough. I need more, and in order for everyone to understand the scope of the problem, you will have to provide this in as much detail as possible. I'll need this in your final paper as well as the a/v presentation (for the rest of the class).

 4. The revamp: What is the plan? By the second installation of this assignment in March, you will definitely have to have this portion figured out. Teaching the entire population is a great long-term goal, but remember, the job HERE is to build a school. I want to know what it looks like, so please provide that in as much detail as possible. This will include your funding analysis as well, or your parent organization, if you are choosing to go this route.

Of course, all areas mentioned in class on Thursday is still required in your final submissions. You can post questions here. They may be helpful to others thinking the same thing. I'll post responses as soon as I can get to them.

Last - here is a GREAT tidibt to assist in your development of research. Should you have questions, or need more assistance, please email me.

Kind Regards, - GirlProfNYC
